Borski Fund launches reporting on various investment teams

31 October 2023

As a founding partner of European Women in VC, Borski Fund launched the third pan-European report on the venture capital ecosystem from a gender perspective. The report highlights the positive financial and societal impact of diverse investment teams in the growth and venture capital sector.

With this report, Borski Fund opens the discussion on gender inequality in the venture capital landscape. The Borski Fund team deals with it on a daily basis. After all, only 1 per cent of venture capital investments still go to all-female teams. A staggering 94 per cent goes to all-male teams.

Or as Kerstin Jorna, Director-General of the European Commission, writes in her foreword: ‘Gender diversity improves financial performance in European Venture Capital firms. Despite this evidence, woman founders still face problems accessing equity finance to start and grow their ventures.’

Simone Brummelhuis, Partner and Fund Director at Borski Fund:

‘We must close the investment gender gap to reap all the impact fruits of venture capital. After all, venture capital is the most impactful asset class – it funds tomorrow's solutions to global challenges, stimulates economies and creates jobs.’
