StartGreen certified Climate-Aware by Coolset

In the ImpaCT RReport Can youeunderstand what impact we make with our portfolio companies: positive and negative. Recently, Coolset German climate impact van StartGreen itself measured. This shows that we are consciously engaged to such an extent that minimisation of our greenhouse gasesemissions, that we the certificate 'KlSustainable’ received. 

To measure and minimise our own greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, we are working with Coolset. They offer an automated platform that allows companies to measure, analyse, reduce and offset their carbon footprint.  

Enhanced estimates

Coolset has measured the climate impact of StartGreen over Scope 1, 2 and 3. They have done this based on our payment data, which is automatically entered via our accounting software. For all transactions, Coolset estimates a CO2 footprint. These estimates are then enriched by human analysis.  

Scope-3 largest share

In 2022, our estimated greenhouse gas footprint was 220 tonnes of CO2, primarily caused by Scope 3 emissions from our suppliers (97%). Scope 3 includes all emissions not directly related to the company itself, but for which the organisation is indirectly responsible. In most cases, these emissions are related to organisational support services (32%) or externally procured equipment (20%). This year, we have several initiatives planned to reduce our emissions.
