\n The Sustainable Economy Participation Fund North Holland (PDENH) is a fund of the Province of North Holland and invests in innovative companies and projects that contribute to the sustainable economy of North Holland. With a fund capital of \u20ac85 million, PDENH focuses on the energy transition, circular economy, and sustainable mobility. The fund was established in 2014 and has since supported dozens of startups, SMEs, and sustainable energy projects with growth capital. PDENH is a closed-end fund that focuses on follow-on investments in existing portfolio companies. Over the past twelve years, the fund has financed established and startup companies. This includes companies looking to further expand their business model with proven technologies, or startups wanting to prove their value with surprising innovations. The fund is specifically intended for companies and projects that provide an extra boost to the sustainable economy and focus on: <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

        \n<\/b>The fund provides equity and debt in the form of <\/span>seed<\/span> <\/span>capital<\/span>, project financing, startup capital, and expansion capital. This is done through shares, (cumulative) preferred shares, and (subordinated) loans.<\/span> <\/span>The fund provides this capital from \u20ac250,000 up to a maximum of \u20ac7,000,000.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

        \n<\/b>PDENH was established in 2014 by the Province of North Holland.<\/span> <\/span>Since September 2023, PDENH has been a <\/span>closed<\/span>-end fund. Since then, it has focused on follow-on investments in existing portfolio companies.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

        Fund Management<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

        StartGreen Capital, together with KplusV, has managed and built the fund since PDENH’s inception. In this role, we have established and actively supported a portfolio of innovative sustainable companies, with the aim of increasing their impact and growth potential. In doing so, we have contributed to the acceleration of the energy transition and sustainable innovation in North Holland. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

        Since the end of the investment period, fund management has been transferred to ROM InWest. StartGreen Capital and KplusV remain closely involved as advisors to the portfolio and support the participations in their further development, with the goal of successfully bringing sustainable innovations to the next phase. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n \n <\/div>\n\n \n
