Boltensweg Solar Park has been officially commissioned in Enter. The project was realized with financing from Energiefonds Overijssel, one of the funds managed by StartGreen Capital. The park is a prime example of how investments from our funds contribute to the energy transition, local involvement, and nature-inclusive development. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Sustainable energy, local ownership<\/span>
\n<\/b>With 7,700 solar panels, the park generates enough green electricity for over 1,950 households in the area. What makes it special is that local residents have the opportunity to become co-owners of part of the electricity yield via ‘Paneelopnaam’ (Vrijopnaam). This way, residents benefit not only indirectly from sustainable energy generation, but also directly from the returns. <\/p>\n

Nature-inclusive design
\n<\/b><\/b>Great attention was paid to the surroundings during construction. Herb-rich grasslands were sown, flower strips created, and planting added that contributes to biodiversity. The green management within the site is largely done naturally, through sheep grazing. This creates a habitat for insects, birds, and small mammals, and integrates the park naturally into the landscape. <\/p>\n

Ecological impact in figures
\n<\/b>Boltensweg Solar Park is expected to provide an annual CO\u2082 reduction of 1,614 tonnes (1,614,000 kg CO\u2082 per year).<\/p>\n

The role of Energiefonds Overijssel<\/strong><\/b>
\nSolar energy is an inexhaustible source and an important alternative to fossil fuels, aiding the energy transition. The fund therefore provided a senior loan of \u20ac2,125,000 for this project. This marks another step in the development of regional, sustainable energy generation. <\/p>\n

\n<\/b>Energiefonds Overijssel is working towards a climate-resilient, CO2-neutral, and circular Overijssel by 2050. Since its inception in 2012, the fund has already invested nearly 400 million euros in energy saving, the production of renewable energy, circularity, and technological innovation in these areas.
