The Borski Fund<\/a> has secured an investment from LIOF, the regional development agency for Limburg, which supports innovative entrepreneurs with advice, networks, and financing. This represents a significant win-win situation, providing Borski with additional venture capital to invest in female entrepreneurs and diverse teams in Limburg, while offering LIOF an opportunity to stimulate diversity within companies in the startup and scale-up phases. LIOF invests in Borski Fund, a fund focusing on diversity and technology<\/h3>\n
LIOF is investing in Borski Fund, a venture capital fund that invests in female entrepreneurs and diverse teams. By participating in this fund, LIOF aims to stimulate diversity within companies in the startup and scale-up phases. Previously, by signing the #FundRight diversity statement, LIOF set a goal to increase diversity within its portfolio within 3 years. This investment contributes to achieving that goal. <\/div>\n

Why invest in diversity?
\n<\/strong>Research shows that only 5% of all venture capital investments are granted to mixed teams of men and women. Only 1% is invested in all-female teams, while 94% of venture capital investments go to all-male teams. Gaby Zandbergen, investment manager at LIOF, explains: \u201cDiverse teams bring different innovations to the market, and companies with diverse teams perform better financially. Furthermore, diversity and inclusion are no longer just an ideal but a necessity. For us as an investor, it is therefore not only a moral appeal but also a financially sound decision to invest more in diverse teams.\u201d<\/em> Additionally, with this investment, LIOF increases the chance of connecting with companies with diverse teams and consequently entering into co-investments in these companies. LIOF will also actively work to provide female entrepreneurs in Limburg with access to existing networks. <\/div>\n
