Who is better equipped to assess whether a startup has potential than entrepreneurs who have successfully built a company themselves? Sifted<\/a>, the leading news platform for the European startup community, published a list of founders who are now financing startups. At the top of the list are our own Laura Rooseboom and Simone Brummelhuis. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Sifted list contains information on which founders in Europe\u2014after successfully starting and growing their own companies\u2014have made the transition from fundraising to venture capital financing.<\/p>\n Laura is included in the list because she co-founded Oneplanetcrowd<\/a> in 2012, the crowdfunding platform for impact startups, which subsequently merged with investment platform Invesdor in 2022. In 2019, she joined the Dutch VC Borski Fund<\/a> as a partner. Furthermore, she is, of course, Managing Partner at StartGreen Capital. Simone is on the list because she founded the restaurant review website IENS (now known as The Fork), which was sold to Tripadvisor in 2015. In 2019, she became fund director and partner of Borski Fund. <\/p>\n
