The consortium is receiving the funding for the Modular Integrated Sustainable Datacenter project (MISD), which helps reduce the energy consumption and CO2 emissions of data centers.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On December 5, the European Commission gave the green light for the IPCEI-CIS program. IPCEI-CIS stands for Important Project of Common European Interest &#8211; Cloud Infrastructure and Services. The Dutch government is allocating 70 million euros for the MISD project and other Dutch IPCEI-CIS projects.  <\/p>\n<h6><strong>Pooled expertise<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>The MISD consortium, which in addition to Asperitas consists of BetterBe, Deerns, Eurofiber, NBIP (National Internet Providers Management Organization), TNO, and the University of Twente, brings together diverse expertise to develop sustainable solutions for the cloud infrastructure of the future. MISD aims to achieve a reduction of more than 50 percent in total energy consumption, from cooling to computing power and data flows. <\/p>\n<p>Maikel Bouricius, CMO of Asperitas, emphasizes the significance of the funding for the advancement of energy-efficient data centers: &#8220;The MISD project is the result of years of collaboration in the Netherlands in the field of energy-efficient data centers. This funding makes it possible for the Netherlands to become a development hub for the next generation of data centers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Involved since 2019<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>StartGreen Capital&#8217;s journey with Asperitas, a pioneer in liquid cooling solutions, began in 2019 with the first investment from <a href=\"https:\/\/startgreen.nl\/en\/funds\/sustainable-economy-participation-fund-north-holland\/\">StartGreen fund PDENH<\/a> <!--EndFragment -->in the company. The fund provides venture capital to companies and projects focusing on the energy transition, sustainable mobility, and the circular economy. PDENH has a size of 85 million and manages a dynamic and complex portfolio of 29 companies and projects. The companies are actively managed by the investment teams and fund management.
