About <\/strong>PDENH<\/strong><\/h6>\nPDENH was founded in 2014 by the Province of North Holland with the aim of stimulating the sustainable economy in North Holland. The fund provides risk-bearing investments in companies and projects focusing on the energy transition, sustainable mobility, and the circular economy. PDENH has a size of 85 million and manages a dynamic and complex portfolio of 29 companies and projects. The companies are actively managed by the investment teams and the fund management. The IC is the independent advisory committee of PDENH. The IC assesses every (divestment) proposal and tests it against the Investment Regulations. In doing so, the IC looks at: <\/p>\n

- qualities of the management;<\/li>\n
- the financial and sustainable return requirements set by the fund;<\/li>\n

The IC advises the fund management on intended transactions and tests them against the Investment Regulations. In addition, the IC advises on the active management of the portfolio companies by the fund manager. IC members receive and review periodic reports on current investments for adequate management. Furthermore, the IC is a full discussion partner for the fund manager regarding follow-on investments, divestments, and investment policy in general, with individual members of the IC acting as advisors and sparring partners in specific sub-areas. <\/p>\n
The IC and the fund management meet once a month. Meetings alternate between online and on-site. Physical meetings take place in Amsterdam, at the KplusV office at Science Park or the StartGreen office on Mauritskade (in the KIT). <\/p>\n

Members of the IC possess strong analytical insight and a critical attitude toward the fund manager. The IC as a whole must have sufficient experience in assessing investment proposals for this type of investment. <\/p>\n
We are looking for a senior representative from the financial world with a link to the sustainable economy (energy\/sustainable mobility\/circular economy) and an affinity for innovative project financing and\/or venture capital.<\/p>\n
The candidate possesses:<\/p>\n
\n- a financial and\/or technical background, preferably in relation to the PDENH themes;<\/li>\n
- experience with innovation, venture capital, and project finance;<\/li>\n
- experience in financing sustainable investments, preferably in the field of the three themes;<\/li>\n
- an eye for the interests of the fund’s client;<\/li>\n
- analytical and critical skills, with a sufficient focus on being solution-oriented;<\/li>\n
- finally, the candidate must be a person of integrity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
In addition to the stated requirements regarding experience and expertise, it is considered essential that the IC candidate is independent. He or she must not be involved in any way with PDENH’s portfolio companies and\/or the preceding investment selection, nor have a specific interest in whether investments proceed or not. He or she shall not hold any functions or positions that are incompatible with the interests of the fund. <\/p>\n
