In a joint interview in Management Scope<\/a>, our Managing Partner Laura Rooseboom<\/a> and Edwin de Graaf<\/a> of Gilde Healthcare<\/a> discuss their roles as investors in companies shaping the transition to a better world. What does your sustainability policy look like?<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Rooseboom: <\/strong>We have a three-pronged sustainability policy. First and foremost, we aim to achieve a positive impact with our investments. The performance is detailed in our impact report<\/em><\/a>. In addition, we have an ESG policy. This focuses on the risks and opportunities in the area of ESG during the investment process. How can we reduce the adverse effects of the business? Since 2018, we have been using the Theory of Change, which incorporates both ESG and impact. We describe the activities an organization undertakes, the effects they lead to (outcomes<\/em>), and what the short- or long-term social objectives (impact) are. Together with Sinzer, a sustainability consultant, we developed a method to measure that impact. Finally, we have an internal sustainability policy. For example, we also want to reduce our own carbon footprint <\/em>and improve diversity within the team.\u2019 <\/p>\n
