Soft Revolt, a sustainable lingerie brand from Amsterdam, has secured more than 1 million euros in funding, with a significant contribution from Borski Fund. The company will use the funds to improve the sustainability of Soft Revolt’s bras, expand the team, and support even more women in Europe.

Soft Revolt was founded in 2020 by Elles Roeleveld and Kim Bakker. The lingerie brand creates stylish, wire-free, and seamless bralettes with a sustainable twist. By combining innovative yarns with various stitches and machine tensions, their bras offer the support women need without experiencing any discomfort. Furthermore, they are kind to both the skin and the climate. Since the launch of the first bralette in 2020, Soft Revolt has already supported 20,000 women in 17 countries.

1 million round

Borski Fund and an angel investor contributed nearly €800,000, while a previous crowdfunding campaign added €300,000. This brings the total for this funding round to over 1 million euros. Soft Revolt will use the money to further reduce the ecological footprint of its sustainable bras.

Even more sustainable

The brand’s bralettes, which are made in one piece using a patented 3D knitting technique, already have minimal production waste. With this funding, Soft Revolt aims to further reduce the environmental impact of its sustainable bras. With emissions of just 2 kg of CO2 per product (verified by tex.tracer), the brand aims to market the world’s most sustainable bra.

Simone Brummelhuis, partner and fund director at Borski Fund:

‘Soft Revolt is redefining the future of lingerie with their innovative 3D-knitted bra. In this innovative company, the power of technology, the promise of sustainability, and the passion of female entrepreneurship come together.’
