Energiefonds Overijssel
Energiefonds Overijssel is working towards a climate-resilient, CO2-neutral, and circular Overijssel by 2050. Since its inception in 2012, the fund has already invested nearly 400 million euros in energy conservation, the production of renewable energy, circularity, and technological innovation in these areas. In this way, Energiefonds Overijssel makes a significant contribution to energy saving and sustainability, CO2 reduction, entrepreneurship, and innovation in the province.

Instruments
Financing by Energiefonds Overijssel takes various forms, depending on the nature, risk, and needs of a company or project. The fund’s financing instruments include equity participations, (subordinated) loans, and guarantees. A combination of these forms of financing is also possible.
Ticket size
Between €50k and €20 million.
Date of establishment
Energiefonds Overijssel was established in 2012 by the province of Overijssel. This makes it the first and largest regional energy fund in the Netherlands.
As of 2018, the fund has become revolving. This means that income from previous investments that flows back into the fund is reinvested in new participations and loans.

Companies developing new technologies for generating or saving renewable energy.
Based in Overijssel.
For loans and guarantees
Companies and/or projects that generate renewable energy, save energy, or promote the transition to a circular economy.
Based in Overijssel or an energy project in Overijssel.
