Laura Rooseboom
Co-founder and Managing Partner of StartGreen Capital
Before starting StartGreen Capital with Coenraad, I was a director at DOEN Participaties, the venture fund of the DOEN Foundation, which is part of the Postcode Lottery. In that role, I was one of the first investors in sustainable companies in the Netherlands, helping many early-stage ‘green’ businesses to grow. Prior to that, I worked as an account manager for private banking clients at NBC Vermogensbeheer (now Fair Capital Partners). I completed a degree in Business Administration at Erasmus University and a post-doctoral qualification as a Chartered Financial Analyst at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
To deploy people to their best potential.
What I stand for is that we have enough with one world, and not three or five (depending on the lifestyle pursued). For this, it is necessary that all people are utilised to their best potential and not sidelined because their abilities are not (r)ecognised. Furthermore, raw materials, resources, and means of production will need to be deployed much more efficiently.
