Investment Analyst Energiefonds Overijssel

In 2017, I started my bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at Delft, with a track in Energy & Industry. As a complement to this, I completed an international minor in Bologna focusing on (corporate) finance and economics. After a full-time board year, I gained professional experience at Allianz Direct and began the master's degree in Construction Management & Engineering. Over the years, I had thus developed a profile at the intersection of construction, energy, policy, and finance.
It was at this intersection that I searched for a thesis topic, and I ultimately completed it within the Capital Projects & Infrastructure team at PwC. I researched the role of Power Purchase Agreements in the (project) financing of solar farms in the Netherlands and the ability of these PPAs to replace the established SDE++ subsidy. This topic aligned so well with my profile and ambitions that I began looking for a starter position in this area, after which I ended up at StartGreen Capital as an Investment Analyst.
Being able to realise tangible, technical projects and successful ventures that genuinely contribute to a sustainable, circular, and inclusive society makes me very enthusiastic, especially when combined with a fun and driven team like the one here at StartGreen.
